East Meets Dress (EMD) is a female-founded, early-stage startup looking to reinvent the cultural wedding dress shopping experience for Asian-Americans.   • General Manager (Full Time, Remote Friendly)

    We are seeking a General Manager to join our team. As a General Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping EMD expand and grow, running the day-to-day operations, and managing our small, remote team to ensure that our customers have an amazing experience working with us and are delighted with their orders. You’ll be the go-to person making real-time decisions that impact our business on the ground. It’s a fun, unique and challenging role that brings together business, sales, design and operations.

    This is a full-time, remote job with benefits. The starting salary for this position is $60k plus a 10% annual bonus when meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    How you’ll contribute:

    • •Oversee our day-to-day sales and operations to ensure a great end to end experience for our customers
    • •Follow-up with leads to drive conversion through various channels (e.g., email, chat, text, social media, etc.)
    • •Work closely with our operations and fulfillment team to manage and deliver customer orders correctly and on time
    • •Coordinate and converse professionally with our dressmakers in Mandarin (primarily written)
    • • Innovate and streamline the existing sales process and customer experience
    • •Spearhead new initiatives for marketing and growth to generate more leads and improve conversion
    • •Meet monthly sales targets

  • Sales Associate (Part-Time, LA)

    We are seeking a Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the first touch-point for many of our brides and work closely with them and our small team to bring each dress to life, delighting our customers along the way. It’s a fun, unique and challenging role that brings together business, sales, design and operations.

    This is a part-time opportunity that requires working on weekends. You’ll be working around 20hrs/week and earning $20/hr. Our team is remote, but we do prefer the ideal candidate to be in LA.

    How you’ll contribute:

    • •Answer customer questions that come in through various channels (e.g., email, chat, text, social media, etc)
    • •Lead and manage in-person bridal appointments on weekends in our L.A. office
    • •Follow-up with leads to drive conversion
    • •Recommend EMD dresses/products and provide design recommendations based on each customer’s unique needs
    • •Work closely with our operations and fulfillment team to manage and deliver customer orders correctly and on time
    • •Innovate and streamline the existing sales process and customer experience
    • •Spearhead projects to generate more leads and improve conversion
    • •Meet monthly sales targets
