Leaves are much greener on the pins than the picture shows, which looks more blue. Some chains were stuck into each other and I had no choice but to yank the tail of some from another hairpiece to free it. Ad photo also doesn’t show what each of the five pieces look like very well. I will use them for my wedding still but it wasn’t what I exactly expected.

Given the time constraint, I was looking for a wedding dress that's ready to order and this is the one! Love the elegant look and how well it fits. I will just need some hemming at the bottom and perhaps some tailoring around the chest/belly areas to make it work perfectly. The dress is made of heavy materials that are drapery so it doesn't wrinkle easily.
I was looking for a dress for my tea ceremony and loved the modern twist to the qipao. I didn't have enough time to order the custom dress, but ordered a medium. I also got a follow up email to confirm my measurements to make sure it was the right size. The dress arrived in a timely manner and for beautifully! It is a very classy dress and looks really nice. The only adjustment I needed to make on the dress was to get it hemmed since it was long. Overall highly recommend for a beautiful modern qipao!

I hosted a corporate Chinese banquet and had these chopsticks custom made to commemorate the event. They were a big hit and everyone loved them. Quality chopsticks and the engraving looked amazing. Seller had great communication as well.

Beautiful dress, but unfortunately it came with many pulls around the flowers and a small snag on the dress too. The neck and chest also need to be tightened. Fortunately they will be reimbursing some of the tailoring cost.

These hairpins added a touch of feminine elegance to my wedding day!I love how you can customise the look/style with the removable chains so you can have all these different ways to style it. They are really good quality and so exquisite - images don't do it justice!
Although my hair in the hair and make up trial ended up quite different from what it ended up as on my wedding day (which is a seperate issue alltogether...) how beautiful are the hairpins though?! I think they worked so so well with the Amy dress too! I have them sitting on a tray in my dressing table now so I can admire them each time I reach for my other jewellery. Seriously need to find more ways to use them for other occassions as they are so pretty haha
THANK YOU EMD!!! <3 I love all the details of the dress - the embroidery, the cute buttons, the way it has this very ethereal feeling to it and looks so light and flowy. The dress was so easy to move in and so comfortable. Many of my guests complimented on how beautiful and elegant the dress was! It's so unique - a perfect balance of modern and traditional elements. Besides being a very beautiful dress, we both share the same name, so it felt like it was meant to be! Being based in Australia and making the decision to purchase a dress online was HARD as I wanted to touch and see everything in person to help me with my decision, but I bit the bullet and waited. The East Meets Dress team were quick to respond to questions I had about the sleeves and even sent my different photos to give me ideas of other sleeves options and how they look.
Some things I probably should have considered in hindsight and hope they will help you too! :)
1. Waist drop - I tend to prefer my dresses to sit higher that my natural waistline so probably should have thought about this or used another dress I had as a bit of a benchmark for where I wanted the wait to be. I ended up having to bring up and bring in the waist area entirely which meant more work for the local tailor as he had to redo some of the embroidery parts, but it all worked out in the end - very happy with the end result!
2. Slightly more space in the cap sleeve - there is a measurement taken for your arm and while the style and fit of cap sleeves was not super tight, I would have preferred a little extra room. I think one thing that impacted it also was that the arm measurement was taken from my right (dominant) arm while my less dominant arm does tend to be a little bit bigger so that probably would have helped with the fit.
3. Dress colour - I got 'apricot' which is a warm, light champagne yellow tone while I feel as if the photos in the product listing (and even my own wedding photos) show it as more of a neutral off white. I didn't have a specific colour theme for my wedding as ours was quite casual but something to be aware of. It really grew on me and ended up matching perfectly with my husbands' existing suit so it was all meant to be! ;)
I ordered two custom dresses (a red one for my tea ceremony and a white one for my wedding reception), and I am obsessed with how they turned out! Words cannot express how happy I am that East Meets Dress made my dream dresses come to life. I submitted my custom measurements, and both dresses fit like an absolute charm. The material of this Ao Dai is extremely nice. It’s soft, doesn’t crease, and looks amazing. I wore it to my wedding and it was worth it to me

The dress is lovely. I ordered an L to accommodate my hip measurement but thankfully took their advice to change my order to M since the fabric has a little bit of stretch. Thank you team for the service and a quality product!!
Hi! I just got my order from you guys, the hair pins, and they are so so beautiful! They will be used for my upcoming wedding during the tea ceremony portion of it and I'm absolutely obsessed! I purchased a custom Emma bespoke dress because I wanted a bit more gold detailing. I purchased it thinking I'd be getting married soon after receiving it. Unfortunately, due to some circumstances we had to postpone our wedding and once we were ready to get married I was already pregnant. I could have purchased a different dress but decided to wear my Emma Bespoke dress regardless and although my bump was noticeable it still fit (which goes to show how stretchy the fabric can be :) ). I got married while being 5 months pregnant. I also purchased the classic dragon tie for my husband, fortune bangle, and ruby hairpin set. The only item I believe that I could have forgone was the fortune bangle. Although beautiful and not cheap looking, it is a bit pricey for a one time use.
Though there were challenges with the provided sizing chart (even after confirmation), the company was very courteous and was happy to exchange to the correct size with a quick turnaround. I was matched with an M-L based on the sizing chart (body measurement: Chest 93, Shoulders 44, Waist 85), and even after adjusting to an XL at their recommendation, it was uncomfortably tight around the shoulders and a bit short with the sleeves. 2XL ended up being the right way to go.
Quality of the product felt good overall when worn (so far only briefly). There was some slight puckering of fabric around the dragon but hoping that goes away with an ironing or two.
As a final note, no other jacket I could find matched the aesthetic I was looking for as well as the ones here at East Meets Dress. If this jacket is to your taste, you'd be hard pressed to find another seller (small business or not) with a similar sense of style!
I ordered a custom fabric qipao and the whole process was smooth and easy. I am very petite so it's difficult to find dresses that fit me. I sent a photo of a fabric design that I liked and they were able to match it almost exactly! The dress arrived faster than I expected too

I wore this dress for my wedding a few days ago, and it was stunning! Standard sizes don't usually fit my proportions, so I ordered a custom size and added a built in bra and closed back. Their team was so easy to work with, answered all my questions quickly, and made the dress so fast! From ordering to delivery, it was probably about 6 weeks, even with all the changes. I only had to get the bust area tailored, but they reimbursed $50 for the tailoring. I don't usually like having clothing around my neck, but the fabric was really comfortable. Also, the embroidery was beautiful! I'm so happy I found this dress. It's a great option for those who want a mix of Eastern and Western styles.
I ordered and received the Jessica Bespoke dress, and was blown away with the quality of the fabric! It looked even more beautiful in person with the gold detailing and softness of the silk. The inside of the dress is lined with a super soft silk. The pankou knots were very securely fastened to the dress. The neck closure in the back featured snaps and buttons for double reassurance. My fiance is considering getting a tang suit to match now that he has seen the quality. Thank you EMD! I will post photos after our Big Day in April!
