That was really important to me since I’m Cambodian and Chinese and my husband is Korean and I wanted our guests to really experience all of our cultures through the different items they received in their wedding favor bags. I love how this dress came out! Custom ordered it with red fabric, jade beads, a train, and a sheer back and it looked beautiful! Communication was great during the entire process. I had so many compliments on the dress from our guests and it fit our multicultural wedding perfectly.

I initially purchased this dress for the Welcome Party. I received the dress in a reasonable timeframe/when I expected. The quality of this dress is amazing. The material felt very nice. When I put it on, it fit wonderfully; there were no issues. I almost decided to wear this dress instead of the wedding dress I originally got because I liked the style and how comfortable the dress was. I could have seen myself wearing this dress for the entire night. This dress even impressed my mother, who often disagrees with my preferred styles. I purchased only a week and half before I needed the dress, and fortunately, it arrived in time! I went off the size chart and ordered a size Large. I’m typically a US size 2, weigh 130lbs, and 5’4”. I love how the dress fit, not too tight and not loose fitting either. The length was perfect as well, at my ankles. The quality is great and medium weight. Beautiful!

I am so happy with my purchase. I have been eyeing this dress for years and was pleasantly surprised when they came out with a pre sized version ready to ship in my size! I am 5’2” and 130 lbs and the Large drapes perfectly even if it’s very slightly loose in the bust. I have always been afraid of a traditional qipao being too tight or unflattering on my non slender build, but the deep red and the sturdy fabric used fits and looks perfect and made my dream of having a modernized traditional Chinese touch at my family wedding reception dinner come true! I purchased the Han Jacket for my fiancé to wear for our upcoming tea ceremony in January 2026. I am extremely disappointed by the quality. Upon arrival and closer inspection, the stitches on the buttons are messy and visible, and the stitching on the top button is also halfway undone. For a $200 jacket, I expected better quality of stiching.

I purchased the Cleopatra Quk Kwa for my upcoming tea ceremony in January of 2026. Overall, the garment is beautiful, but the quality control seems to be lacking. There are loose threads and seams on the skirt, which for nearly $400, should not be a thing.

My dress came so quickly and looks stunning! The material is great quality and it is well crafted. Customer service was fantastic as well and I’m glad I went with a size up like they told me.

I bought the standard size after talking to the owner of the shop. She recommended a size for me and also provided more pictures since I was unsure of the color. Purchased for my wedding in May. Communication was smooth and efficient and dress arrived earlier than expected. Dress was lovely and fit well. However, the tulle skirt measurements were off (too small). Luckily was able to get it altered for the big day. Otherwise, very happy with the dress.

I made a last minute decision to wear a qipao for the reception of my wedding after deciding to do a brief tea ceremony. I was scared it wasn’t going to get in on time but this company managed to get it to me a day earlier than planned. The dress was the absolute star of the wedding - every table asked me where I got the dress made. Even our photographers were excited to shoot photos of the dress. The size recommendation they gave me after sending my measurements were spot on! I cannot recommend this company enough!!

I absolutely loved changing into my custom Rachel dress for my reception. It was so much easier to move in and getting the custom dress cost about the same as it would have for me to add a bustle to my wedding dress. It required some slight alterations, but East Meets Dress provided a little credit to offset the cost of taking it to a tailor. The fabric has a nice weight to it and the liner makes it comfortable and not itchy on my skin. I highly recommend the whole experience of getting a custom made dress!
