The qun kwa is a traditional two-piece Chinese wedding dress worn by brides during their wedding or tea ceremony. It originated in the Ming Dynasty as a wedding dress that was worn by royals.
This qun kwa is named after Catherine the Great who ruled during the Catherinian Era (considered the Golden Age of Russia) and was the country’s longest-ruling female leader.

The Catherine Dress surpassed my expectations in quality and workmanship! I usually wear a size small/medium in western clothes and the EMD staff member suggested I change my order to an XL based on my measurements. I'm so glad I took her recommendation because the dress fits perfectly. I look forward to wearing it for my tea ceremony this summer!
I had my doubts about my skills in self-measurement and ordering a dress online however the dress that arrived was the dress of my dreams. It’s beautifully perfect from the attention to detail in the beading, the way it fit, to the carefully wrapped super cute package it came in. The entire ordering process was seamless and worry free as well. I’m so excited to wear my dress on my wedding day! I know grandma will be so impressed.
Dress looks amazing and fits perfectly!
Contact buyerOrdered from UK for my wedding later in the year. Jenn was extremely helpful with questions on sizes. Arrived much quicker than the given estimated delivery date. No issues despite coming from US. Great quality and good price! Packaged nicely and even comes with some very cute dimsum stickers! Highly recommend!
