This dress is named after Nadya Okamoto, a social entrepreneur and activist, known as the Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit organization PERIOD. She is the author of Period Power: A Manifesto for the Menstrual Movement, which reignited a conversation and movement around menstrual equity.
